Tetrahydrojasmonic acid is amphiphilic and can permeate human skin. Within 24 hours after application, 0.9% of the dose was detected in the stratum corneum, 0.7% in the epidermis, 0.3% in the dermis and 3.6% had penetrated through the dermis (R).
